Wanted to let everyone know that the book that I wrote, illustrated and published named "Whats Wrong With Alex?", was just added to the Autism Speaks national online resource guide. I'm incredibly honored and thrilled at the possibility that this will help ever more people.
Here is the link, check it out!

Thalassa Spirit of the Sea Spring 2011 Collection
The Spirit of the Sea
"While walking on the Open Shore
The crashing waves wash away the pain.
The blowing sands cover over the past.
In the embrace of the waters
Tears are wiped away,
Beauty is found within
and the Treasures of the Future
are Revealed."
The Thalassa Spirit of the Sea Collection is based off of the beauty of the Ocean, its mystical qualities and it's ancient legends. Named for the mythological spirit of the sea, this lush collection incorporates not only the beauty of wire craftmanship, the luxury of gemstones but the treasures of the sea themselves.

Sonny's Embroidery World
All the handbags, wallets, etc. are designed, embroidered and made by me on my vintage 1960's Pink Necchi Super Nova Julia sewing machine. Yep... that's right... she's pink! and Yes.. I call her "Julia" and say nice things to her before I start sewing in hopes that she will create something beautiful. Once talked to nicely she usually complies.
There is no computer imaging because of the age of the machine. All the embroidery is done by designing the shapes made from her vintage stitch cams into beautiful arrangements of stitches to make flowers, leaves, etc.
This, needless to say, takes an extraordinary amount of patience and time to complete but you end up with beautiful, artistic stitching that flows with the fabric.
